QUAMA × Huawei: Co-creating the Future of Hospitality Spaces
As a leading brand in high-end, custom-made commercial furniture, QUAMA has successfully won the bid for the interior decoration project of the F345 underground corridor area at Huawei’s R&D Center. Drawing inspiration from Lake Como in northern Milan’s picturesque lake district, our team meticulously integrated popular design elements such as natural wood, curved lines, and arched doorways, creating a warm and romantic spatial ambiance. This transformation turns what was once merely a transitional space for passage and waiting into a dynamic, multi-functional business reception area.
Project Overview
Huawei's Shenzhen R&D Center serves as the group's innovation and technology powerhouse, located in Zone F of Huawei's Shenzhen campus. Covering an area of approximately 120,000 square meters, it comprises three research buildings, one comprehensive building, a cafeteria, and a sprawling 100,000㎡ underground parking facility—creating an imposing and grand-scale architectural presence. It has witnessed Huawei's remarkable journey from a rising star to a global leader in the telecommunications industry, making it a truly iconic landmark within the entire Huawei Shenzhen campus.
Highly accurate, perfect answer
This project is of great significance to QUAMA, marking a shift in the company’s product portfolio—from being limited solely to customizing event-oriented commercial furniture, it now extends into wall solutions, offering a comprehensive, one-stop integrated solution that combines wall panels with customized furniture.
To perfectly deliver the design outcome, the Crownmei project development team has poured immense dedication into meticulous refinement and polishing since the very beginning of the project. Led by the chief designer, the team conducted thorough advance planning and careful deployment, making multiple on-site inspections and repeatedly verifying measurements to refine the drawings—ensuring every detail is flawless. Once the production blueprints were finalized, Crownmei’s Foshan manufacturing base immediately kicked into high gear, leveraging its advanced, automated factory production line to enable large-scale, flexible manufacturing and efficiently meet all production targets. At the same time, Crownmei adheres strictly to the principle of "meticulous material selection—only the best will do"—guaranteeing superior product quality. Specifically, we’ve chosen Moganshan flame-retardant plywood, renowned for its exceptional fire-resistant performance combined with eco-friendly features, creating a robust wooden safety barrier that effectively keeps potential fire hazards "beyond the board," safeguarding users from any risk of ignition.
Every subtle detail is also the focal point. We strive for perfection in every seamless join, carefully marking each area before meticulously assembling them to ensure absolute flatness across the entire surface. At the same time, we employ exquisite painting techniques to achieve uniformity in color across all regions, elevating the overall aesthetic to a whole new level. To guarantee a flawless final installation, QUAMAte has assigned an experienced project manager to oversee and coordinate seamlessly with all stakeholders, fostering efficient communication and timely updates. Additionally, we continuously refine our construction plans, employing meticulous installation processes that faithfully recreate the original design intent—ensuring both on-time completion and unmatched customer satisfaction.
From design and material selection to on-site construction, the Crownmei project development team has embodied the brand’s spirit of "Only the Crown Brings Beauty" through their dedicated efforts. Leveraging cutting-edge design concepts, professional expertise, and meticulous craftsmanship, they’ve breathed life into the architecture, delivering to users a premier architectural masterpiece that is truly an artistic sanctuary.
The skybridge not only connects the various functional zones but also serves as the perfect finishing touch that elevates the overall spatial design. By layering multiple curved arches, the smooth, flowing lines enhance the sense of depth and dimension throughout the space. Cream-colored wood veneers run seamlessly across the entire area, creating a harmonious and cohesive aesthetic—simple yet sophisticated. Like Lake Como itself, this space captivates visitors, drawing customers from around the globe to pause and linger.
The entire café is designed with a European-style aesthetic, creating an exquisite and cozy welcoming atmosphere. The creamy wood veneer contrasts sharply with the sky-blue decorative door panels, enhancing the visual spaciousness of the space. While the creamy wood exudes warmth and inclusiveness, the sky blue perfectly balances these qualities. This harmonious integration of contrasting colors transforms the space into a vibrant hub where diverse ideas and cultures can converge.
The corridor-style meeting area continues the European aesthetic, cleverly incorporating geometric elements. The vertical central columns harmonize beautifully with the curved archways, creating a space that is both orderly and balanced—soft, warm, and inviting. Meanwhile, the Gothic-style stained-glass windows evoke the ambiance of an elegant European castle estate, enhancing the area with a sense of European leisure and comfort while subtly highlighting the company’s refined and dignified character.
Stepping into the corridor's leisure area, every turn and glance upward fills you with a sense of freedom and romance. The expansive, solid-colored walls further enhance the room’s warm, tranquil atmosphere, while meticulous attention to detail adds endless comfort to the space. Even this small haven of relaxation invites you to linger, time after time.
Step by step, every corner reveals a delightful surprise. From the grand design to the smallest details, QUAMA embodies heartfelt craftsmanship in every creation. The entire bathroom features a sleek European minimalist style. Sleek, minimalist storage cabinets ensure efficient and organized space management, while harmonious color tones create a warm, inviting, and visually soothing atmosphere.
This is not a simple transitional space.
Instead, it is a breathtaking underground art palace.
